As we are putting away the socks and panty hose to bare our legs and feet this Spring, have you noticed how dry and scaly the bottom of your feet are? I know mine build up thick calluses on the bottoms and I spend so much time - too much time - rubbing the heavy duty creams into them over the winter. I think my need for these extra-moisturizing foot creams are gone because I gave into the Ped Egg.
Surely you have seen this little egg shaped cheese-grater looking device on TV, in Target or your drugstore. I know I saw it. I never gave it a second thought until I had a pedicure last Friday and still had thick calluses after the nail tech spent about 5 minutes each on my heels. I knew I needed to try something and yes - I am a sucker for those seen on TV products. And seeing the huge display of them at Target, the Ped Egg it was.
I was nervous to use this little wonder at first as I thought I would tear into my skin. But it didn’t. It never did. It just felt a bit rough at first as I glided the “egg” over my foot. After a few minutes - or because I figured out just the right technique to use it, I didn’t notice much of a feeling at all. It actually felt good.
After just two or three minutes or rubbing, I opened the little trap door to discover it full of shavings. Shavings of dead skin. I know it sounds unpleasant, but I was thrilled to see how much work this little “egg” did in such little time.
Don’t hesitate to pick up the Ped Egg. It is worth every cent of the $9.99 and I will not flinch to pick up the refill’s when needed.
