With the rush of folks coming in for the Blogtoberfest fun, I thought I’d post a list of links you might find interesting if you decide to poke around a bit here!

As you can imagine, there’s never a shortage of things to talk about when it comes to chocolate, and some of my most popular posts are a testament to that!

Make sure you check out:

Make Your Own Oreos: Yes, it’s true! Though there’s a bit more work involved than just picking up a package at the store, without all the fillers and preservatives, homemade always tastes better anyway. Not to mention, you’ve now got the recipe for the filling!

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies: These get rave reviews from people who aren’t able to have flour and gluten.

50 Easy Chocolate Snacks to Make: I put this list together because I figured I can’t be the only one who just wants a quick chocolate treat now and then without having to fire up the oven or wait hours for something to bake, freeze or harden!

Grilled Chocolate Bananas: Bananas, chocolate chips and marshmallows. You don’t have to wait for summer to come back around - try them in the oven too!

Chocolate No-Bake Cookies: I’ve been making these since I was a kid and was pleased to find that my kids love them too. We usually have everything on hand to make them and the best part (aside from the chocolate) is that you don’t have to turn on the oven.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies: One of my most favorite cookies of all time. In fact, I just made a batch over the weekend! Even though they have pumpkin in them, these cookies are perfect year-round.

Coordinating pink mist envelopes are included, and the package is wrapped with a pink ribbon. $2 per box will donated by Crane & Co., a breast cancer awareness organization.

Congrats, AmandaK!

Everyone else, thank you for participating and keep an eye out - there are tons more prizes to be won both here at Chocolate Bytes and across the rest of the Lifestyles channel!

Blogtoberfest Begins Today!
By: Chocolate Bytes    8 days 6 hours 13 minutes ago
Channel: Food & Wine Living

blogtoberfest2008October is traditionally an exciting month for b5media’s Lifestyles Channel and our readers. Summer is over and the Holidays have not yet begun, so it is the perfect time for us to thank our readers for their continued loyalty!

To do this, we’ve joined forces with hundreds of sponsors to create a two week extravaganza of giveaways, jump-starting the holiday season and allowing our readers to win gifts, both for themselves and for giving. This year’s Blogtoberfest is better than ever before. We have simplified the process and the sponsors have been extremely generous in the gifts that they are offering and as a result, we’ll be passing on in excess of $7,000 worth of prizes! Don’t miss a minute of the fun!

Blogtoberfest officially kicks off today - Monday, October 6, 2008

There are lots of great prizes to be given away. Prizes are available to U.S. and Canada residents unless otherwise noted. All you have to do is:

  1. Browse the channel or visit your favorite blogs.

  2. Watch for sponsored prize winning posts wearing the official Blogtoberfest button shown above.
  3. Leave a comment on that exact post. Your comment IS your entry.
  4. Check back with that blog within a week and see what the prize is and if you’re the lucky winner.

Consider subscribing to the Chocolate Bytes blog feed, and some of the other Lifestyles channel blog feeds to make sure you don’t miss out on any exciting opportunities. Many blogs will be conducting between 2 and 7 giveaways and just where those will be appearing is a secret and half the fun!

Each prize-winning post will share links to other prize winning blogs for that same day. This makes hunting easier and improves your chances of winning! That’s it! Participating blogs can be found at our channel hub.
