2-3 weeks into my test-drive of the at-home laser hair-removal treatment, Tria, I have to say Im disappointednot with the Tria though, but with me! I have been bad about keeping a regular schedule of self-treatments, is maybe the only downfall from not having the hair-removal appointment in a fancy-dancy spa: When I only have to be responsible and punctual to myself, I tend to flake out, something Id never do to a laser-wielding pro! (Especially as I dont charge a pricey cancellation fee!)

To remedy the situation I make appointments with myself, put TRIA in red in my calendar every other Tuesday night. So last Tuesday around midnight I cued up an old Dawsons Creek episode on the TiVo, plopped down on the couch and went to work on my legs with the Triaa comfy time and place I never could have enjoyed if I was relying on the spa for my laser hair removal treatment. As for the removal, so far so good. I dont see a huge change yet, but because I am using the lowest intensity level and thanks to my irregular treatments, its still too early to tell how my hair is reacting to the laser. Check back soon as Ill keep you posted after my next two rounds, which will be done on scheduleI promise!

You were the captain of the cheerleading team and Jonny was the mischievous biker-boy who always skipped class. Besides the awful helmet hair that the two of you would have after he picked you up from practice, you didnt have much in common. But hair care brand, Aussie, knows that true harmony lies in opposites. The essence behind their new line of products, the Opposites Attract Collection, is a paradox in itself, combining strong hold with a touchable feel. The collection includes a mango and wild cherry scented shampoo, conditioner, spray gel (ingenious!), mousse and hairspray that work together to form a soft and manageable look that will last well into the night. Sweating for a perfect summer do? Celebrity stylist Sarah Potempa, a fan of the line, explains how: apply the mousse to your roots for volume, use a curling iron and some gel to get natural wave and movement and finally spritz on some hair spray for softness and a final hold. So leave that brittle and stiff helmet hair back in the 80s. But if you happened to save a picture of you and Jonny-boy, send it along to www.touchablesofthair.com. Part of Aussies End Helmet Hair Now campaign, your awful hair days could win you a paid trip to NYC for a complete makeover by Sarah Potempa, a photo shoot, and the opportunity to appear in Fitness or Family Circle.
