Oh, I know you don’t want a glimpse of Mr. Jake Weber in The Haunting of Molly Hartley, right? Seeing him would just bore you to tears. It won’t? You’re sure? Okay, here you go:

Scary looking, isn’t it? Even with Jake Weber on the cast, I don’t know if I can watch this one. The Birds gave me nightmares!

Allison Dubois has a notice on her website about her new show Soul Evidence. They are looking for cold case homicides to investigate. I was interested to see that the victims must be at least 18 years of age. I wonder why they have to be adults?

She states that they are not taking any requests from people to look into cases if they aren’t related to the victim. I’m glad to hear this, as I can imagine it would be very painful to have a t.v. crew asking you about the case if you were trying to go on with your life and didn’t want to have the publicity from the media flare up all over again.

It really sounds like a good show and they really seem to be making an effort to avoid turning it into the type of reality show I don’t like. You know the shows I’m talking about - cameras in everyone’s face, edited tape to make it look like people are absolute psychos and silly stunts.

What I’m really excited about, though, is that I think it will be a good publicity boost for Medium, too. What do you think?

I know some of you are just having terrible Jake Weber withdraw symptoms, so maybe this will help ease your pain. He was at the premiere of Pineapple Express. I guess he’s done shooting his Western because he got rid of the scruffy cowboy look, which I kind of liked.

Boy, are people having fun with this one. Thomas Jane will be starring in a new series on HBO with the unfortunate title of Hung. Yes, as in well endowed. He’s a basketball coach in this comedy, which is supposed to be on the dark side. With Thomas Jane, I’d expect dark. After all, he is not into butterflies and daisies.

Anything with a good cast that isn’t more reality trash is exciting, but I’ll have to see how much of the humor is about his skills as a coach and how much is about his…umm…other skills before I decide whether I’m going to be watching! Whether it is my style of humor or not, I know it will be good. After all, HBO is the station that gave us the incredibly popular Sopranos and several other great series. (Do you think we can hope for a guest appearance by Patricia Arquette? It just seems like the type of show she’d have fun with, too.)

Hung will have at least one other big name in the credits - Alexander Payne has agreed to direct the show.
