Hyperglycemia

Hyperglycemia, or high blood sugar, is a condition in which an excessive amount of glucose (blood sugar) circulates in the blood plasma. It is a serious health problem for those with diabetes. When a person with diabetes has hyperglycemia frequently or for long periods of time, it can cause damage to nerves, blood vessels, and other body organs. The symptoms of hyperglycemia are excess urine and excessive hunger and thirst.
